Builder Standards Fourth Edition

The Indiana Quality Assurance Builder Standards are a resource to provide new homebuyers and remodeling homeowners a way to measure the quality of the project against an industry approved set of standards. Indiana Builders Association builder and remodeler members can order Standards manuals in hard copy or digital format. Local HBAs can order hard-copy Standards manuals, while new homebuyers and remodeling homeowners should request a copy directly from their builder or remodeler. This is an address specific PDF version of the Standards manual for each project. The single use version includes the project’s exact address and is only intended to be used for that one location. The PDF can be viewed and sent electronically. Upon ordering, a personalized version will arrive in your email inbox within 2-3 days. Duplication of pdf copies is prohibited.

Standards Commitment	Every participating builder, remodeler, and interim builder member shall agree to the following conditions through their purchase:
1)	The Indiana Quality Assurance Builders Standards manual must be provided to every customer at the time of contract signing for each new construction and/or remodeling project undertaken by the member.
2)	All contracts must include language incorporating the Standards as a part of each new construction and/or remodeling project undertaken by the member.
3)	A third party dispute resolution mechanism, selected by the builder to handle disputes arising from the Standards shall be a part of all contracts for construction and/or remodeling projects undertaken by the member.
4)	The member understands that non-compliance with these commitments, unresolved dispute resolutions, or a large number of complaints against the member may result in sanctions imposed on the member by the Builders Association. Those potential sanctions may include, but are not limited to eliminating membership privileges and/or expulsion from the Association.
