Event Description:
Effective January 1, 2020, Indiana’s statewide residential code will be updated to the 2018 International Residential Code with Indiana amendments. The Indiana Residential Code governs the
construction of Class 2 structures, which include one- and two-family dwellings and townhouses.

Indiana Builders Association, in partnership with the APA, will host full-day training focused on the significant changes to all aspects of the code including: building, energy conservation, plumbing, mechanical, fuel gas, and electrical.  Training is open to builders, trade contractors, and building officials.

Space is limited, so register early to reserve your seat. Registration will end one week prior to each training.

Code Book:
The final rule is expected to be published on December 1. By year-end, the International Code Council will have an Indiana-specific code available for purchase in loose leaf or PDF download.
All training venues have WiFi, so please bring a laptop or tablet to view the 2018 IRC and download and print the proposed rule containing Indiana’s amendments.

Cancellations within one week of the training and no-shows are responsible for the entire fee.
