ENERGY STAR certified homes are designed to be at least 10% more efficient than homes built to code and, on average, deliver savings of more than 20% for homeowners by including these building science measures:

• A high-efficiency heating, ventilation, and cooling system
• A comprehensive water management system to protect roofs, walls, and foundations from moisture damage

At this conference, you’ll hear how an energy rating company works closely with the builder or developer throughout the construction process to help determine the needed energy−saving equipment and construction techniques and to conduct required on−site diagnostic testing and inspections to document that the home is eligible to earn the ENERGY STAR label.
